BMT GARDEN : THE ZOO 🦣🦍
See: Five Fun Children Spots In Abuja
So Zane and I went on our first Zoo adventure! I was very skeptical about how he would react so of course I carried the stroller. BMT garden is a very large park so I knew carrying him or letting him walk will wear him out almost immediately.
The tour guide took us around the Zoo to see all the animals. We saw monkeys, porcupines, horses, parrots, geese, ducks, ostriches and our best, The Lions and Hyenas. It was my first time seeing some of these animals so it was just as exciting for me as it was for Zane.

His favorite part was feeding one of the Ostriches.
Today is a beautiful day to visit the zoo.
We had to pay to enter. N1000 for adults, N500 for kids.
So after the Zoo, we took a walk around the garden to check out different spots. BMT garden is a big space so if you’re wearing heels to go there you’re the real MVP.

They have a swimming pool(N2000 adults, N1000 kids), playground for kids(N1000), the cute colorful building to snap nice pictures, cool wooden huts to just chill and relax, a restaurant called Kuiknosh with beautiful wooden colorful abstract art, a big library to read/work and a book store called Novel that I’ll review later. There are also spaces that can be used for parties and weddings.

I’m sure there are other spaces but I was too tired at some point.
Lemme just add this. Nigerian zoos need to do better. Feed these animals the right meals and fatten them up. Work on making the spaces more conducive for them.
