Maishayi Coffee Abuja
MAISHAYI COFFEE ABUJA:
Maishayicoffee recently opened up a branch in Abuja and we stopped by to check it out! As their name implies, these guys are known especially for their coffee. They have quite a great selection of it too!
Food:
Vanilla Latte N2,500
Cafe Mocha N2,500
Masa Sandwich N5,200
Mai Shayi House Sandwich N3,500
Spicy Chicken Wrap N2,800
Zobo Juice N1,000
Orange Juice N1,000
We enjoyed both coffees but we definitely preferred the mocha. The Masa sandwich was different so we thought to try it. The masa was amazing and moist. However, the sandwich was quite tricky to eat, especially when trying to eat all the components of the sandwich, the egg, bacon and masa together. We were also expecting more than the two pieces of masa.
Another favorite was the spicy chicken wrap. The chicken was well seasoned and the wrap quite juicy. It was also spicy. The potato wedges served with it were just okay. The house sandwich was also quite nice and filling, again we really liked how the chicken was seasoned.
We finished our food with orange juice and zobo. We loved that both drinks had a very natural taste, it wasn’t too sweet either. Their menu actually has something for every pocket however, the masa prices took us by surprise. Food could come out a tad faster too.
We just have to say that there’s something about their staff! They were amazing! They even had a good knowledge of the menu. Definitely well trained, points to them on this. We also love their uniforms.
The restaurant space is cozy, it has a slight dark theme that contrasts well with the wooden features. The Art on the walls and coffee beans table especially caught our attention.
Their location is a little hidden but we like that they chose Asokoro. Interestingly while this is a cafe and it has wifi, they had various signs noting that laptops and tablets are not allowed.
Just in case, Be sure to make a reservation especially on weekends. The space can seat about 20 people but seems it fills up fast.
LOCATION: 84 Kwame Nkrumah, Asokoro 9am-7pm
