Located in Southwest region of Nigeria with Its capital in Ibadan, Oyo State was created in 1976 from Western State, and included Ọsun State, which was split off in 1991. Oyo State covers approximately an area of 28,454 square kilometers and is ranked 14th by size. The landscape consists of old hard rocks and dome shaped hills, which rise gently from about 500 meters in the southern part and reaching a height of about 1,200 metres above sea level in the northern part. Oyo State is bordered to the north by Kwara State, to the east by Osun State, and to the southwest by Ogun State and the Republic of Benin.

Bower Memorial Tower
The tower is about 60 feet high and 11 feet square, with two entrances and a spiral staircase that leads to the top of the tower. This tower is located on the smmit of Oke-Are, the highest hill in Ibadan, and you can get a great view of Ibadan City from the tower. The Bower Tower was built by the British Government to administer Ibadan city between 1893 and 1897.

Agodi gardens is a tourist destination in the city of Ibadan, Also called Agodi Botanical Gardens, The site is a serene environment which serves as a relaxation, swimming and hangout spots for residents of the city of Ibadan.
