I have been seeing posts from GemHouse on Instagram and I was looking forward to visiting. Most especially for their Spaghetti Bolognese and Jollof Rice.
I must say my expectations were quite high.

The Jollof rice actually looks better on their page than it does in real life but it didn’t taste bad I didn’t enjoy the chicken much because it was quite dry, luckily my friend ordered that not me 
. I’m a fan of spaghetti so I may be a little bit biased, I enjoyed the pasta more except for the large chunks of onions, veggies and bell peppers, I think it should be in moderate size for people that don’t like much of it.
The portion was great for the amount so that was a plus for me.

The service was great, the food took quite a while to get ready but asides from that the waitress was very welcoming. Their prices are also quite modest and affordable.

I am a huge fan of beautiful spaces but this was just alright. I wasn’t really impressed with the ambience, I feel they could do better especially with the furniture. Although, I loved the design of the bar area and the Gem House sign. The entrance to the restaurant wasn’t pleasant and it looked quite unkept. I hope they pay more attention to this.
