SULEJA DAM

This is a beautiful body of water located along the Abuja – Kaduna Road. It’s about an hour drive from Abuja. I discovered this place on YouTube last year on a channel called “Big Willz”

While in the area last week, I made a stop with Waka_waka_nnenna. When we visited the water wasn’t in its full capacity. Notice the area with the water marks? Well based on the video and previous pictures I’ve seen of this spot, it’s usually overflowing and sort of like a waterfall.

The journey here was, should I say a little scary, the roads leading to the dam as you get closer, are quiet and lonely. While we spotted some locals swimming in the water and moving around on bikes, it was mostly quiet.

We tried to interact with the locals to the identify the purpose of this dam but it was difficult due to the language barrier. A search on the internet and there’s barely any information on this place. In fact people also refer to this spot as Usman Dam Suleja ??‍♀️.

LOCATION: It’s located in a community called Karfe Town along Kaduna Road, the entrance to this place is the street after Zuma Barracks. Themindofanenigma was our quide for this trip, this place is honestly quiet tricky to find.
