Did you know that there’s a restaurant within Vicado lounge Vicadorestaurant that serves tasty food? Well, we didn’t either until we just dropped by one random Wednesday afternoon.
We Had:
Boneless Honey BBQ Wings N2,400
Caribbean Jerk Wings N2,400
Crab Cake N4,400
We especially loved the boneless BBQ wings. They were so tasty, moist and oh so very sweet. And it’s best had hot! The wings paired really nicely with the dip too. We were told it’s a Chef’s special ranch sauce dip. The dip is sour so it hits just right and blends perfectly with the sweetness of the BBQ. We would have liked the Caribbean jerk wings to be juicier, though.
We also got to try Crab Cake for the first time!!! This was our first time seeing this in Abuja. We were informed that the owner curated this menu, having spent several years in the US.
Our verdict? Well, we really enjoyed it. It was very creamy, actually. This is definitely how we would prefer to have our crab going forward. The best part is that no bones had to broken to eat crab meat ?. The wait time for food could be a little faster.
We also learnt that they serve Nigerian swallows too, with their best seller being Edikang-Ikong soup. The owner is actually from the home of this delicacy, so we can trust that it’ll bang! We were also intrigued to learn that they also serve both Nigerian and Ghana Jollof. Very interesting ?.
And most importantly, their food is actually well-priced especially for a lounge.
Even better is that they have Happy Hour periods, where you can get 20% off meals every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 4pm -9pm. Perfect time for after-work hangout, chills and interesting platters! Swipe for their Happy Hour menu.
