Mama Ashabi Restaurant Abuja

MAMA ASHABI:

I’ve always felt that beans is an overrated dish. However, you see this Ewa Aganyin and Sauce from Mmama.ashabi, it hit the spot and made me reconsider 😂

Mama.ashabi is the plug for Nigerian meals specifically swallow dishes at very pocket-friendly prices. They are located both in Wuse 2 and Gwarinpa. The other day, I stopped by their Wuse 2 branch.

Food:
Ewa Aganyin and Sauce N550
Plantain Full Portion N550
Egusi N250
Pounded Yam N250
Jollof Rice N650
Kpanla Fish N450
Moi Moi N350
Coke N200
Amala N250
Ewedu and Gbegiri (complimentary)
Assorted Meat N250
kpomo N150

As I said, the Ewa Aganyin and Sauce was a fav, I didn’t expect this at all. I thought the portion was great for the price too! Also loved the pounded yam, it tasted fresh. It was also served hot and smooth. For my hungry people, one wrap won’t be enough for you okay. The pounded yam totally paired well with the egusi and goat meat. I had mixed feelings about the goat meat, I felt it could be cooked a tad bit more.

The moi moi was very tasty, I had mine with Jollof rice and kpanla. The Jollof was alright, it had a smokey taste though I wish that it was seasoned more. I loved the abundance of meats in the amala. Everything cost N650.

Mama.ashabi offers dinning-in, pickup and delivery. However I definitely recommend the option of delivery, pickup or trying their branch in Gwarinpa, it’s better for dinning-in.

Do check them out for affordable Nigerian swallow dishes, try the beans too and let me know what you think!

As always be sure to tag Seeabuja or use #seeabuja when you visit. Do follow Mama.ashabi they’ll be giving out freebies on their upcoming 5 year anniversary
