MERAKI RESTAURANT & LOUNGE: 

Merakirestaurantandlounge is a rooftop restaurant and lounge in Abuja that offers a fine dinning experience. It’s the perfect date night spot and the view especially at sunset is definitely worth it! I was hosted at this restaurant recently and here’s how it went.

I absolutely loved the space! This restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor dining. The indoor dinning area offers a lounge and a proper dinning seating area. The outdoor space has an view amazing!

Lemon Grass Marinated Tiger Prawn N12,000 Hong Kong fried Rice (side)
Vegetable and Carrot Soup with Prawns N4,500
Chicken Wings with Sesame Seeds N4,000
Minced Lamb with tartar sauce N4,500
Avocado and Prawn Salad N4,000
Crust Beef Tenderloin N8,000 Mashed potatoes (side)
Louis Echenauer sauvignon Blanc (French Wine) N10,000

The prawn dishes were my top favorites! I especially loved the lemon grass marinated prawn. It was tasty and banged differently when paired with the sauce. The salad that was served alongside this dish was also the perfect combination. I loved the minced Lamb with tartar sauce, the lamb was oh so flavorful and the sauce, oh the sauce! Wow it definitely took the lamb to a whole other level! I enjoyed the avocado prawn Salad. The contrast from the sweetness of the apples and tangy taste of the lemon made this Salad a hit for me. The chicken wings were definitely different from the usual but it was good. I personally wished it had more spices though.

This restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor dining. I definitely recommend you dine in the evening to experience the view at sunset.

The dishes also came with sides of Hong Kong Fried Rice and mashed Potatoes. The fried rice stood out for me, it was my preferred choice. While the mashed potatoes were just alright. Dinner was served with a French white wine to go with the seafood.
