The VUE: Best Restaurant For Asian Food in Abuja

The VUE is a restaurant that serves Pan-Asian food in Abuja. So think Chinese, Indian and Thai food. If you’re a fan of Cilantro Abuja, you’d feel right at home here because it’s part of the same chain 😉

AMBIANCE
The first thing that caught my attention at the Vue, was the ambiance! The vibe especially indoors screamed money! I also thought the infusion of the Buddha statue and picture was a great incorporation of Asian culture.

When I stopped by in a June, we weren’t allowed to eat in as the Vue was opened only for orders. I don’t think this has changed yet.

LOCATION
The Vue is located at Novare Central Mall, Wuse Zone 5 Abuja

My friend and I ordered the following:
Tandoori Chicken N3,200 (Indian)
Thai Green Cury N3,200 (Thai)
Basmati Rice N3,200
Garlic Naan N600 (x2)

We loved both our dishes. I had the tandoori chicken, the sauce was so rich and creamy. I can’t say I loved the garlic naan though, it was just okay for me. My friend enjoyed her green curry too but mentioned that it was a little too watery, perhaps a mistake?

The shocker though was the Basmati Rice, which cost N3,200 for a small plate (enough for 1). We totally missed the price when ordering and the portion was honestly not worth it!

Would I go again for the food? Sure! But I’d skip on the basmati rice and just boil some at home just as my friend said 😂. We were pained 😫

PRICE
Not exactly inexpensive but not expensive either. A budget of about N10k – N12k would suffice for a meal for two people.

Have you been to the Vue? What did you think of the food? Would you pay N3,200 for basmati rice?

P.S. We didn’t order drinks because we were to eat at home since the restaurant had not fully opened for dining in. Checkout the full menu on Vueabuja
