Ivy League Restaurant, Abuja Review
IVY LEAGUE RESTAURANT:
We recently revisited Theivyleagueabuja , a rooftop restaurant that opened up a couple of months ago in our city. This restaurant serves both Intercontinental and African Fusion food. We were actually at their opening and now we stopped by to try out their new menu.
First of we love the decor of the space! It’s so classy! This restaurant has a proper fine dinning section and various VIP lounge-style seating options. We especially love the design of the bar and the lounge. We also noticed the names of different Nigerian Universities across the different sections of the restaurant, our Ivy League Universities, this was a nice touch. The nighttime view bangs differently, it’s also more dim.
Food:
Local Honey & Soya Glazed Chicken Breast – N5500
Chicken Spring Rolls – N2500
Chicken Yassa (with a side of fried rice) – N8500
BBQ Chicken Breast (with a side of fried rice) – N8500
Chocolate brownie and ice cream – N4500
Chapman – N2,500
Tequila Sunrise – N5,000

We really enjoyed all the meals. However our favorite had to be the BBQ Chicken Breast, the meat was so flavorful, it also had a slight smokey taste which we loved! The veggies served with it were also very fresh. The Chicken Yassa had a very sweet taste, we figured this had to be from the opinions. We really liked that the meat was tender. It paired quite nicely with the fried rice. We would have liked more chili.
For appetizer, the chicken spring rolls were also lovely, the texture was so crunchy! This won for us.
We then finished off with dessert, brownie and ice cream, this was a really good one. The ice cream paired really well with it too.
There was a birthday party ongoing, when we visited. We couldn’t resist capturing the setup. theivyleagueabuja is definitely great spot for parties and events. We learnt that access to the space (except the VIP lounges) comes at no additional charge, there’s just a set amount on food
They staff were also very pleasant and polite.
They also offer buffet every Sunday for N10k
