PUZZOS RESTAURANT (BREAKFAST):
We’re big fans of Puzzosrestaurant for their continental and Indian dishes and now they have breakfast too! And this time last week I was invited to a food tasting of their new breakfast menu.
Pictured:
Pap & Akara N1,500
Boiled Yam & Nigerian scrambled egg N1,500
White Rice, Plantain with Stew N3,000
English Breakfast N5,500
Top favorite was the fried yam and sauce, loved the sauce especially because of the onions. I did wish it was more spicy though. The akara was also quite nice, to think we had it when cold and we all know cold akara is not it. The pap could have been cooked for a little longer though. The rice and stew was alright, I liked the chicken in the stew, so tasty! Btw are you one to have rice and stew for breakfast?
Now I wasn’t a huge fan of the English breakfast. The orange juice was good however I had mixed feelings about the other items in this package.
A key highlight was trying out Puzzos tea selection which comes with hot water, a tea bag, lime juice and ginger juice, all in separate pots! And guess what, it all costs just N950! Totally sold! I mean how often does one get this option to customize their tea. I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
Overall, I love to see restaurants trying their hands at different things. I do believe this breakfast menu could use some touch ups here and there. Puzzosrestaurant understands the assignment and serves great food, so we can have faith that they will deliver.
