Taj Bistro Abuja – Review

Taj Bistro is a fine dinning restaurant located in Wuse2. The space is beautiful especially the night ambiance, making it the perfect spot for a date night.

We visited to have “The TAJ Experience”. A unique opportunity that holds first Sundays of every month to showcase exclusive off menu dishes, meaning they’ll will be serving meals totally different from the in_house menu.

The chef took us through a culinary journey, wowed us with some amazing off the menu dishes and cocktails to expect this sunday. Here are some of what we had;

1). Puff puff drizzled with white chocolate: As you can see from my pictures, this puff puff clearly went to Harvard, make sure to ask for it, very succulent.

2).Beef and Chicken tacos(hard and soft shells). This was really nice, I particularly loved the hard shells, it was a crunchy goodness. The beef was well seasoned.(highly recommended)

3).Lemon Pepper Butter Sole Fish (served with steam coconut rice and sautéed vegetables).
This was my absolute favorite dish. There was something about the the Sole fish that was very piquant, a memorable dish I must say and a must order.

4).TAJ Mixed Grill ( prepared table side lamb chops, steak filet and boneless chicken served mashed potatoes). First of, I love the idea of a LIVE cooking where the chef prepares your meal near you.It made the whole dining experience more interactive and lively. I loved the boneless chicken and the sauce that came with it however the steak was a tad salty.

5).Adios MF (cocktail). This drink isn’t for the faint at heart. I really loved it as it hits all the right nerves. Do not order this if you’re driving.

Customer service is great, our hostess Anita was very pleasant, she did a great job of serving us. Plating and presentation is top notch. In the end, it was a culinary delight.

I definitely recommend Tajbistro.ng for date nights, fun outing with friends. This restaurant isn’t cheap so hold money to avoid stories that touch.
