Ebonyi state.
The first thing that comes to ones mind when Ebonyi is mentioned is abakaliki rice. Ebonyi is an agrarian state in south-east Nigeria. It is inhabited and populated primarily by the Igbos. Its capital and largest city is Abakaliki. 
 
Ebonyi state is blessed with lots of undeveloped tourist sites which can generate huge revenue for the state if developed and below are the list of top 5 places of interest in the state.

Okposi Salt Lake:

The Okposi Salt Lake is an important place to visit in Ebonyi State.   A visit to okposi will avail one the opportunity to  see one of the natural resources that gave Ebonyi the name “salt of the nation”  and also enlighten one on how salt is being processed locally.

Amanchor Cave:

The Amanchor cave Is located at Amanchor in Afikpo South. The Cave is about 4 kilometers long and one of the numerous tourist attraction in Ebonyi state. although the amanchor cave is yet to be developed, Plans are underway to develop this cave, as it is capable of attracting visitors to the site from within and outside the country.

Unwana Beach:

Unwana beach is located at Unwana in Afikpo North LGA. The beach is part of extensive scenic golden sand beach along Cross River basin. it is an ideal center for relaxation, sunbathing, swimming, sport fishing, canoe-racing, and yachting.
The golden sand beach is one of the top tourist attractions in Ebonyi State. it is usually a beehive of activities at weekends and public holidays as fun seekers gather there for parties and other social events. The beach is an ideal pace for relaxation, sport, fishing, swimming, sun bathing, yachting and canoe racing. 


Ndibe Sand Beach:

LIKE Unwana beach, Ndibe Sand Beach is located at Ndibe in Afikpo North LGA. The beach is also part of extensive scenic golden sand beaches along Cross River basin. its  ideal center for relaxation, sunbathing, swimming, sport fishing, canoe-racing, and yachting.

Ndibe beach can be accessed from Abakaliki through Amuro/Mgbom roundabout in Afikpo.
 
Uburu Salt Lake:

The town of uburu is blessed with four salt lakes. The Uburu salt lake is a rich source of common salt in Ebonyi state and Nigeria, the natives and some salt manufacturing outfits use the lake water for salt making, like that of okposi, uburu salt lake is a common source of revenue for the people of uburu especially the women who are engaged in the salt processing.
