Abacha Barrack Abuja⁣⁣

Do you even live in Abuja if you’ve never stopped by this place for grilled fish and chips? At this spot, you have the option of choosing from a number of traders, selling either Cat Fish or Croaker fish (which I prefer)⁣.⁣

Price⁣⁣
The price changes slightly based on the seller, the size of the fish and your negotiating skills 😉. It’s honestly great portions for the price though as it’s enough for 2-3 people. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Environment ⁣⁣
It is not exactly neat nor is the method of food preparation, there are flies everywhere. Thus if you’re picky with food or generally have stomach issues, you might want to stay away. There is also a lot of smoke from the grill too. ⁣⁣
This place has plastic chairs and tables where you get to sit to eat and get drinks. You can always order takeaway though. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Customer Service⁣⁣
The few times I’ve been there, I’ve always ordered from Mama Charity (see slide 5), overall her consistency has been 7/10. I’ll update this post should it change. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Note: I recommend the afternoon or early evening as the best time to stop by, as it tends to get quite rowdy in the late evenings. ⁣⁣

Ever been to Abacha barracks? What’s your usual order? What price do you pay (lemme know if I’m being cheated)? Who’s your go-to seller?
