ANCIENT FLAVOURS. Ancientflavoursrestaurant:
This restaurant was formerly at Jabi lake mall but they recently moved to a bigger space in Wuse2.
Their new space has different sections. The interior has the fine dining setup with minimal decorations The exterior is a different vibe entirely, mostly white with hints of green which gives a garden dinning vibe. I love that they retained some elements of their former space, especially the granite walls that made me fall in love with them in the first place.
There were variety of very tasty meals but my winners are;
1).Risotto rice: I thoroughly enjoyed this meal, the creaminess and generous amount of parmesan cheese. It was served with the tastiest shrimps.
2). Dumpling: This was so yum, the filling had the right texture and crunch. I liked the fact that sauce that accompanied it didn’t overpower the taste.
3). Grilled Salmon and Teriyaki sauce : We paired this with lime parsley rice. As a huge fan of salmon, I thoroughly enjoyed this dish especially how the salmon melts in your mouth ??.
4). Bad Behavior: This one is a cocktail and definitely lives up to its name. All I can tell you is if you do not want to behave badly, avoid this drink ?. It was my favorite since I love to be in my “bad behavior” sometimes.
I equally loved all the salads, portions are great.
The barmen were very nice especially Obinna, he understood the assignment and filled my glass religiously.
