Bukka: Amala and Ofada Joint at Transcorp Hilton

BUKKA TRANSCORP HILTON:

Did you know that you can get Nigerian staples such as Amala and Ofada Hiltonabuja? I was recently invited to check out the Bukka courtesy Abujacitytourist

FOOD
We had the following:
Amala and Ewedu with Gbegiri
Ofada Rice with Fried Plantain
Chicken Peppersoup
Pineapple Juice

We started out with the chicken peppersoup which was so well seasoned, in fact the aroma of the soup was perceived from miles away ?. I liked that the Ofada stew had plenty meat and even dried prawns, it was enjoyable, it had more of a vegetable stew twist though and didn’t really taste like the typical Ofada stew. I also tried the Amala and really liked the fresh taste of the tomatoe stew, Waka_waka_nnenna who had this, especially loved it. As for drinks, the pineapple juice was amazing! I love that it came with bits of the pineapple pulp.

This Bukka also has other Nigerian staples, a salad bar, a bread corner and desserts!

Cost is N10,700, it was a Lunch a la carte Buffet.

AMBIANCE
The Restaurant is well lit, has enough seating and I love the infusion of the Ankara prints in the decor. Covid regulations are also enforced, you can’t move around the restaurant without a mask.

If you’re looking for a place to have Nigerian food, then here you go.

Have you eaten at this Restaurant? Are you a fan of Amala?
