Did you know about the existence of this center? I was intrigued when I was invited to visit Kcc_ngr
I know a bit about South Korea, thanks to K-dramas, singing groups like BTS, tech companies like Samsung and my interactions with Koreans. However during my visit to this center, I learnt so much more! From the Language, type of clothes, Korean tea etiquette, to Taekwando being more than just fighting, it was indeed an educational experience.
Here are a few things to note about the center:
1. The center is affiliated with the Korean Embassy and has been in existence for over 10 years now (I had no idea)
2. Korean language classes are offered for just N6,000, you can learn the language in 3 months
3. Taekwando classes are available for children
4. The center is free and accessible to the general public (pre-covid)
The Korean Cultural Center is definitely worth visiting to gain a new experience and learn more about South Korea.
It would be great if a restaurant was added to the center, so foodies like me can get to try some Korean dishes like Kimchi etc, what do you think ?
I just have to add that our tour Guide, Sharicutty was also very warm, friendly and welcoming.
For more information on the center, reach out to Kcc_ngr or checkout the website on their page. The center is currently not open to the general public due to covid
