Village Chief Restaurant, Abuja

VILLAGE CHIEF (swallow)

We recently revisited Villagechief_abj to check out their new spot, Village Chief Swallow. First of all, the decor of this new section is very artistic, we particularly loved the murals with the woman.

We ordered
Abacha Titus Fish N3,300
Peppered Snail N3,300
Palm Wine N700

The highlight of our visit here was the palm wine, we’d definitely be going back for this. The Abacha was not bad, the best part of the dish being the fried fish (this tasted fresh like it was just prepared). We would have liked a lot more of the abacha spices. The wait time for the Abacha was quite long though, we waited for over an hour 😩. Thankfully the palm wine kept us busy and our server Obed was such a cool sport that we couldn’t help but smile it off.

Villagechief_abj seems to come alive in the evenings. It’s a cool spot for drinks and chill. Also their new spot has a range of swallow dishes, swipe for the menu. The environment is still quite rustic but very instagramable.

LOCATION: Matambella garden wuse 2 abuja Abuja, Nigeria

Have you been to Villagechief_abj, what was your experience? What do you think of their new swallow section.
