The VUE: Best Restaurant For Asian Food in Abuja

The VUE is a restaurant that serves Pan-Asian food in Abuja. So think Chinese, Indian and Thai food. If you’re a fan of Cilantro Abuja, you’d feel right at home here because it’s part of the same chain ?

AMBIANCE
The first thing that caught my attention at the Vue, was the ambiance! The vibe especially indoors screamed money! I also thought the infusion of the Buddha statue and picture was a great incorporation of Asian culture.

When I stopped by in a June, we weren’t allowed to eat in as the Vue was opened only for orders. I don’t think this has changed yet.

LOCATION
The Vue is located at Novare Central Mall, Wuse Zone 5 Abuja

FOOD

My friend and I ordered the following:
Tandoori Chicken N3,200 (Indian)
Thai Green Cury N3,200 (Thai)
Basmati Rice N3,200
Garlic Naan N600 (x2)

We loved both our dishes. I had the tandoori chicken, the sauce was so rich and creamy. I can’t say I loved the garlic naan though, it was just okay for me. My friend enjoyed her green curry too but mentioned that it was a little too watery, perhaps a mistake?

The shocker though was the Basmati Rice, which cost N3,200 for a small plate (enough for 1). We totally missed the price when ordering and the portion was honestly not worth it!

Would I go again for the food? Sure! But I’d skip on the basmati rice and just boil some at home just as my friend said ?. We were pained ?

PRICE
Not exactly inexpensive but not expensive either. A budget of about N10k – N12k would suffice for a meal for two people.

Have you been to the Vue? What did you think of the food? Would you pay N3,200 for basmati rice?
