Made a stop at the new cafe in town Pause_cafeespressobar and it’s quite a pretty spot! (full menu below)
I’ll definitely be stopping by again for some bougee pictures 🙈 but well let’s talk a little bit about the meals.

Before I go on, I think I need to try out more options cause I don’t understand how I ordered a dessert for breakfast yet 🙈
I had waffles with chocolate topping (dessert), chicken bbq pizza, Americano and lemonade during my visit and here’s what I think:
– BBQ chicken pizza 🍕 gets a 7/10 from me as the crust was crunchy and the bbq sauce was fine. Overall it was a regular pizza cut out differently.
– Waffles 🧇; This is a dessert and I honestly think they should consider rearranging their menu so it’s quite clear. I visited the cafe for breakfast and picked waffles as it’s usually my go to whenever pancakes are not on the menu so I wasn’t expecting what I got which was served as a dessert. It tasted fine (7/10) but again I came for breakfast and I should definitely converse more with waiters on what I’m ordering before they give me a heartbreak.

-Croissant: Was crisp and flaky but this is the first Cafe in Lagos where I saw a croissant being sold for N2,500. Forgive me but I can’t unsee it, I’m used to gulping down 2-3 croissant on the spot but trying this here would be “rough play”
Got the plain Croissant at N1,500 and it was pretty good, chocolate filled one is N2,500 (there’s chocolate at home, T for Tenks)

-Lemonade and Americano tasted as they should 😁
Overall I think the meals are a bit above average and prices are decent (except the croissants please). I should try more items so I’m fully unbiased.
I’ll talk about the service and space in my next post!
Stay tuned! And verdict is: worth a visit 😁
